GASTRONOMY

Our nona Dragica started her culinary adventure in 1954 and greatly influenced the cuisine in Hotel Stanger. Her daughter Dušanka continued the tradition with chef Danica Rupčić, who was in charge of Pansion Stanger’s kitchen for 45 years.
A cuisine based on a blend of creativity and tradition, the freshness of local ingredients and the savors of Istrian cuisine is what we rely on to guarantee unforgettable flavors.
Sustainable cuisine from the sea to the table and cooperating with local family farms and fishermen – that has been our focus for almost 70 years.
Pets are not allowed in the dining hall for breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast

An abundant buffet breakfast is served at the terrace during the summer months.
Fresh ingredients from Istrian family farms and dishes prepared in our kitchen are always available.
Served from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.

LUNCH

A moment to relax on our terrace during the hot summer days. We serve simple dishes, various salads, burgers, sandwiches, and, depending on the daily catch available at the fish market, also fried Kvarner sardines.
Served only during the summer months from 1 June until 30 September.From 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

DINNER

The culinary culmination happens in the evening with a 3-course menu.
The menu offers a choice of 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes, of which one is fish, and two are meat dishes. An abundant salad bar and freshly prepared desserts are served every day.
Since Hotel Stanger’s food selection relies on fresh ingredients that arrive to the hotel daily, our guests select the menu they prefer the day before, during dinner or breakfast. We only procure the exact quantity of food that was ordered and thus always ensure its freshness.
We are very flexible and also serve vegetarian or vegan menus when requested, as well as menus adapted to guests with special dietary requirements due to allergies.
