Hotel Stanger is located right by the sea, on the steep slopes of Učka.
Surrounded by the sea and greenery, it is a favorite destination for guests who love swimming and sunbathing as well as those looking forward to hiking and walking, and nature lovers in general. Hotel Stanger is a family hotel open all year round. Founded in 1954 as “Pansion Stanger”, it has always been the place to stay and eat at in Lovran, but also of the entire Opatija Riviera.
After breakfast, our guests are usually eager to hike the slopes of Učka or take a walk in Lovran, Medveja and Opatija. They spend their afternoon relaxing on the beach just below the hotel, and, after a delicious and healthy dinner, end the day in pleasant company on our terrace with a bottle of wine. FOOD EXPERIENCE
Our nona Dragica started her culinary adventure in 1954 and greatly influenced the cuisine in Hotel Stanger. Her daughter Dušanka continued the tradition with chef Danica Rupčić, who was in charge of Pansion Stanger’s kitchen for 45 years.

Beaches
A rocky beach with sun chairs and improved access to the sea is just 20 meters away from the hotel.
Lungomare
The famous “lungomare” is a walking trail along the sea shore that starts in the center of Lovran, 1 km from the Hotel Stanger. It’s 10 km long and passes through Lovran, Ika, Ičići, and Opatija, all the way to Volosko.
Učka Nature Park
Definitely one of the most visited destinations by our guests, and the most impressive one as well, without a doubt. The trail to Učka starts right behind Stanger Hotel.
